Although the major purpose of the summer holidays immersion program is to give learners an encounter and experience of our ecosystem, safety is also the most important consideration. This is the reason why we have partnered with experience service providers. All of our tours are well-designed and prepared to minimize risk or unexpected things during the trip. Bigfoot adventures and Sun La Vie are some of the best professional travel operators in Kenya and we confidently ensure the safety of our visitors(students) throughout their stay in Kenya.
Insurance
Our summer holidays immersion program does not include Students Accident or Casualty Insurance in any destinations, and all insurance is not part of our package or customize or excursion. The client shall ensure that he/she has adequate insurance protection against personal accidents, medical expenses, emergencies, and loss or damage to personal property.
The client shall be responsible to request Sunrise Virtual School for any special, attention required relating to diet, disability and or medical, which may otherwise affect comfort while on tours will always endeavor to make provisions for such but will not be responsible for failure to provide such if such shortfall is beyond the control of Sunrise Virtual School.
Itineraries
Accommodations (includes hotels) and pre-arranged sightseeing are subject to change at any time due to unforeseen circumstances or circumstances beyond our control. Every effort will be made to operate tours as planned.

Luggage Allowance
Excess baggage charges are the sole responsibility of the clients.
Health Requirements
It is obligatory for all students taking part in the diaspora program to have health and accident insurance coverage. The clients are responsible for checking the safety and security conditions, vaccination, and other health requirements of government of the country to be visited.
Travel Documentation
Sunrise Virtual School will not take any responsibility or liability whatsoever for the failure of clients to obtain appropriate documentation.
Liability, Risks and Responsibility
Accidents can happen anywhere, even on a trip to the grocery store. Travelling can involve risks and hazards of varying degree. By signing this document, you assume all the risks associated with your summer holidays tours.
Sunrise Virtual School summer holidays immersion program provides tour information for customers. Sunrise Virtual School will provide travel information and services gathered from the selected quality hotels, transportation providers and other logistics from our tour companies and operators. Sunrise Virtual School will not be responsible for errors or inaccuracies in the information provided by third party.
Because of how and where we travel, and because of the forces of nature (including human nature), you understand that injuries, illness, losses, inconveniences, or even death can occur, the tours will cover remote places where there is no readily available assistance or medical care.
Sunrise Virtual School summer holiday tours may include, but not limited to hiking, walking safaris, etc. No matter where we travel, dangers exist from animals, inaccessibility to medical attention and difficulty in evacuation from remote locations in case of a medical emergency.
Sunrise Virtual School shall not be liable for any loss, injury, or damage to person or property, alteration of itineraries or cancellation in part or in full, caused by climatic conditions, sea fire, breakdown of machinery or equipment, acts of government or other authorities, wars whether or not declared, civil disturbances, strikes, riots, thefts, epidemics, quarantines, medical or customs regulations, terrorist activities, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond Sunrise Virtual School control.
Sunrise Virtual School shall not be responsible for any wrongful or negligent, fraudulent, omissions, changes of itinerary, cancellation or the failure of any equipment operated by those service providers or any other party bit directly owned or controlled by Sunrise Virtual School.
Neither Sunrise Virtual School nor any of its affiliates or subsidiaries shall be or become liable or responsible for any additional expenses of liability sustained or incurred by the tour member as a result of any of the aforementioned causes.
Sunrise Virtual School will not be responsible for a client failure to comply with customs regulations.
Sunrise Virtual School will not be responsible for the theft or loss of any customer valuables or items or personal property due to the negligence of the customer.
Some of Trip packages include activities which require care and attention such as hiking, climbing, exploring pristine nature and unexpected weather conditions. You will receive help and advice from our representatives but all activities are undertaken at your own risks and their teams and agents cannot be responsible for any action or event that occurs after the said employees and agents have exercised their duty and taken the necessary care.
Sunrise Virtual School reserves the right to modify or rescind the terms and conditions in whole, or in part at any time with or without notice.
MINORS
In the event the tour participant is a minor under the age of 18 years, you agree that you are the tour participants parent or legal guardian and that you have read the terms and conditions in this document, and you agree to these terms and conditions on behalf of the child.
Photographs and Videos
Sunrise Virtual School reserves the right to take photographs and videos during the tours and of the participants and use those photographs and videos in our promotional materials without compensation. If later you find that you don’t like a particular use of a photograph or video in our materials, please notify us. In the case of electronic media (e.g. website or social media), Sunrise Virtual School will remove it immediately and will not use it in the future.
Cancellation, Refund and Amendments
All bookings and amendments must be sent to Sunrise Virtual School in writing via email, in which case a fee shall be charged, notwithstanding the fact that Sunrise Virtual School reserves the right to determine when such cancellation or amendments received, owing to factors like or similar to communication delays or shortfalls.
If cancellation notice is received by Sunrise Virtual School within the time of booking and 40 days before commencement of the tour, a cancellation fee of 30% will be charged.
If a cancellation notice is received by Sunrise Virtual School within 49 to 20 days before the commencement of the tour, a cancellation fee of 50% will be charged.
If the cancellation notice is received by Sunrise Virtual School within 19 to 7days before the commencement of the tour, a cancellation of 75 % will be charged.
If cancellation notice is received by Sunrise Virtual School within 6 days before the date of commencement of the tour, a cancellation fee of 100% will be charged.
Sunrise Virtual School will utilize any deposits submitted to pay for such cancellation charges and will refund to the client all unused payments.
It should be understood that during a certain period of travel (PEAK times) we may not adhere to cancellation policies as stipulated above due to making advance FULL payments to various hotels and lodges and as such cancellation during this time is 100%.
Any intention to cancel a booked tour, we must receive information in writing and Sunrise Virtual School shall apply cancellation policies as applicable. There are no refunds for unused portions of the program, and refunds will not be made to clients who do not complete the tour for any reason whatsoever,
In the event that client request for an amendment for the tour Sunrise Virtual School will endeavor to make such alterations with minimum or no penalties, however, the client will at all times be liable to any unavoidable subsequent amendments charges.
In the event of cancellation, we will refund any payment made to Sunrise Virtual School (less any cancellation fee that is applicable) within 14 days of our receipt of your written cancellation request.
Modification or Discontinuation of Service
Sunrise Virtual School reserves the right to modify or discontinue service to clients who behave illegally or objectionably toward its employees and agents. Offensive behavior includes behavior which is obscene, racially offensive or of a sexual nature.

Arbitration Agreement
The laws of Kenya shall govern the rights and obligations of the parties to this agreement and the interpretation, construction, and enforceability thereof. Any controversy or claim arising out of or in relation to any way to these terms and conditions, to the limits of liability clause, or any information relating to in any way to the tour, or to the tour itself, shall be settled solely and exclusively by binding arbitration in Kenya, and in accordance with the rules of the Arbitration that exists. In the event an action or proceeding is initiated by the participant in an improper venue outside of the republic of Kenya, the participant agrees to pay Sunrise Virtual School costs and reasonable attorney fees associated with defending such action or proceeding in the improper venue.
Severability
If any term of this agreement is to any extent illegal, or otherwise invalid, or incapable of being enforced, such term shall be excluded to the extent of such invalidity of unenforceability. All other terms hereof shall survive and remain in full force and effect. Notwithstanding to the extent permitted and possible, the invalid or unenforceable term shall be deemed replaced by a term that is valid and enforceable and that comes closest to expressing the intention of such invalid or unenforceable term
Travel Acknowledgement
1.The participant understands and agrees that the pace of each tour varies, but in general they require participants to be in good physical and mental health.
2.The participants agrees to follow local rules and recommendations aimed at facilitating contact tracing when asked to provide contact information to restaurants and businesses, as it is common a practice in many parts of the world.
3.The participants understands that the environment and weather conditions of destination country may be different from that in his/her country of residence.
4.The participant understands that the laws of the destination country may be significantly different than those of his/her residence.
5.The participant understands the medical facilities in the destination country may be of different standards than that of his/her residence.
6.The participants understands that Sunrise Virtual School cannot be held responsible for events beyond their control, including but not limited to: war, civil disobedience, acts of violence, acts of God, terrorism activities, strikes, epidemics, pandemic, or government restrictions. Nor are they responsible for personal injury, death, property damage, baggage and personal effect loss or theft, and in the absence of its own gross negligence or from any act arising from Sunrise Virtual School selection of vehicles, host facilities, hotels, tour operators, transportation companies, sightseeing contractors or other firms, companies, agencies or individuals.
